EU Monograph - Extract and Summaries
Introduction
The full EU monograph text for environmental fate of glyphosate following agricultural use contains a great deal of information compiled from many studies. The majority of data in the monograph are, of course, taken from regulatory studies conducted according to guidelines in place in the EU, N America and occasionally elsewhere that were extant at the time of each study. In addition there are many published studies to complement the scientific data available. In all, this body of data on glyphosate is very extensive.
For this reason an overview of the environmental fate of glyphosate has been prepared in order to summarise the “core” information. Elsewhere on the website there are more detailed contributions of specific aspects of environmental fate.
In the following sections, the key information and conclusions about the behaviour of glyphosate are given in summary form.
