About Glyphosate
Plant protection products containing glyphosate are commonly used for the control of annual and perennial grasses, sedges, woody shrubs, volunteers and broad leaved weeds in agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, forestry, orchards, plantation crops, amenities, home and gardening.
Furthermore it is also used for weed control on industrial areas, on railway tracks, along roads and on non-cultivated areas. The application rate varies across the EU depending on type and time of application and also on the target weed species. Methods of application include conventional hydraulic sprayer, hand held weedwiper, knapsack applicator and rope-wick applicator.
